FAQ - FlashPlayer

From time to time, you might experience some issues with Flashplayer. First, however, there are a few other things you need to check.

  1. Make sure you are currently in the newest version of your browser.
  2. Make sure you have the newest version of Adobe Flashplayer, uninstall all older versions.
  3. Make sure you have the newest Video Card Driver for your system from the manufacturer's website.
  4. Ensure your plugins are PPAPI and not NPAPI as the later is unsupported in most up-to-date browsers.

Here we will include some tips on how to resolve your issues once all the above is done.

Internet Explorer:
  1. Open the page that has the rich media content in Internet Explorer. For example, visit Flash Player Help.
  2. Click the Tools menu, in the upper-right corner of Internet Explorer.
  3. From the Tools menu, choose Manage add-ons.
  4. Select Shockwave Flash Object from the list.
  5. Click Enable.
  6. Close Browser and reopen.

Firefox:
  1. In the Add-ons Manager tab, select the Plugins panel.
  2. Find Shockwave Flash in the list of plugins and click the Options button.
  3. Remove the check mark from Enable Adobe Flash protected mode.
  4. Click the menu button.
  5. Close browser and reopen.

Google Chrome:
  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More Settings.
  3. At the bottom, click Show advanced settings.
  4. Under "Privacy," click Content settings.
  5. Find the "Flash" section.
  6. If you trust the websites you visit and want videos, animations, and games to be playable automatically, choose Allow sites to run Flash.To allow Flash for only certain websites, click Manage exceptions. Enter a website, and set its behavior to "Allow."
Opera:
  1. In the Address field, type opera://plugins.
  2. On the plug-ins page, locate the Adobe Flash Player section.
  3. Click Enable.
  4. Check for older versions and disable them.
  5. Close browser and reopen.
