just a few things to keep in mind...
when you say servers must be equal, they really don't...
i don't know if you can remember this far back, but there used to be 3 servers inparticular: BoB, Overlord, and D-Day, that i would like to use for an example.
To give a bit of background, BoB was all of the original servers, from bristol and london (dont cite me idr that far back, lol) up to liverpool. Overlord consisted of the merged servers Coventry Manchester, and Oxford. D-Day was an unmerged server.
Both Overlord and BoB were given 5 ds a day, and had the old(cheap) shop prices. D-Day had the new(expensive) prices.
Overlord and BoB had been around for at least 3 years each, and if i remember correctly, which i might not, D-Day had been around for 1 1/2 or 2, so still a newish server in comparison.
To be honest my memory fails me beyond that, but my point remains, servers do NOT have to be equal to be considered for a merge, they just have to pester the shyt out of support and gms about it until they get what they want. The obstacle in our path supposedly is the developers not wanting to put the effort in to give gamigo clearance to do a merge, which halts all plans indefinitely.
Not saying your completely wrong, and not saying they wont stage it off to make them more equal, but just making it known, previously, equality has not been a necessity, so it may not be this time as well.
